Salary Information

2024 Salary: $58,235 - $70,786 / Annual

Basic Corrections Academy Certification

Yes, must have current Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Corrections Deputy certification, or equivalent from another state-approved academy, and 

Must  have the ability to obtain an equivalency certification within the first twelve (12) months of employment by meeting the standards of the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission.

Prior Experience Requirement

Yes, must have successfully completed the testing process and been hired by another jurisdiction from a civil service commission certified eligibility list or other like process; and

Must have successfully completed a probationary period with the current or previous employer; and

Must have been continuously employed by the present or previous employer as a full- time, paid, civilian corrections officer for at least twelve (12) months.

Other Candidates must successfully pass the Physical Fitness and Abilities Test for this agency.
