Ephrata is a small town located in central Washington. Servicing a population of just over 8,600 people and surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery of Beasley Hill and the Columbia Basin. The greater Ephrata area is home to over 100 lakes, Beazley Hill contains miles of hiking/mountain bike trails, and the city is only a couple hours from some of the best ski resorts in the PNW.

Department Information

The Ephrata Police Department is committed to public safety and our community whole heartedly supports us. We place an emphasis on consistent training and encourage opportunities for professional development. 

Ephrata Police Department’s current authorized staffing consists of 16 sworn Officers and 3 civilian support staff. Patrol Officers work 12-hour shifts with two 3-day weekends (Friday-Sunday) each month. Specialty assignments include, Bike patrol, Tactical Response Team (TRT), Field Training Officer and Detective.

Police Officer base salary for 2023 (1st year) - $5,913/month.
