Law Enforcement and Corrections Written Exam

*Please note: The end times on test dates may vary depending on the number of candidates, weather, and other potential circumstances. Please allow 4-5 hours for the completion of the written examination.

If you are testing for an agency that requires the Physical Ability Test through Public Safety Testing, it must be completed within 90 days of the written exam.

Notes

The following are not allowed in the testing area: backpacks, purses, bags, hats/caps of any kind, sunglasses, smart or analog watches, activity trackers, calculators, cellular phones, cameras, electronic devices of any kind, mechanical pencils/pens, beverage or water bottles with labels, and/or any other items determined inappropriate by testing proctors.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions:

  • Please remain outside of the facility until your scheduled check-in time to avoid gathering in a confined space. The queue for check-in may be outside the building, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Physical distancing of a minimum of six (6) feet is highly encouraged.
  • Please bring a mask/face-covering with you. These are recommended for the duration of the written exam.
  • Masks shall be of the type that conforms to CDC guidance (completely covers the nose and mouth and fits snugly against the sides of the face without gaps).
  • If you are exhibiting any signs/symptoms of illness and/or have an elevated fever, and/or had a COVID-19 exposure in the previous five days, you will be required to reschedule your exam. You may be requested to review a health self-assessment before you are allowed into the testing area.
