Benefit Information

The City of Redmond offers two different medical plans to choose from. They offer an alternative to social security with the Municipal Employees Benefit Trust (MEBT), which is a 401K plan, with funds contributed by the employee and the City of Redmond. Employees become fully vested in the MEBT plan after 5 years of employment. 

The City of Redmond provides a generous benefits package including: medical, dental and vision benefits; paid sick leave, vacation and holidays; retirement; and life insurance.  The Police Department also offers a Teamsters Retirees Welfare Trust.
