Important Information

Implementation plan for new (March 2025) written test: Port Orchard civil service rules require that the eligibility list containing names of candidates who took the written test prior to March 1, 2025, be terminated when a new list is created based on the new exam. Port Orchard plans to offer an oral board exam in March to all candidates who tested prior to March 1. The eligibility list generated from the written test prior to March 1 will be utilized until exhausted as determined by the Chief and Civil Service Secretary/Chief Examiner. All candidates will be notified. Candidates testing on/after March 1 will have any invitations to oral board delayed until the old list is exhausted. The specific amount of time will depend on vacancies and the success of the candidates on the current (old test) eligibility list.
