Salary Information

Salary: $32.95 - $43.36 per hour. The work schedule for Police Communications Specialists shall consist of four (4) consecutive workdays on duty, followed by four (4) consecutive days off (this represents an average of 182 12-hour shifts in a year for a total of 2184 hours). As a result, Communication Specialists receive 16 hours per month paid at the overtime rate (1.5x), as part of the regular work schedule.

The typing test is a critical component of your written test score and you are required to complete the online typing test within 90 days (before or after) your written exam.
